Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero, an American singer and actress was a model in the past. She's best known for her performance in Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain as well as singing lead in Apollonia 6, a girl group. The singer and actress named Apollonia by Prince was one of the many female musicians in the '80s to benefit from her association with the Purple One. Apollonia's debut album came out in 1988. The R&B and dance tracks were not well received by the music buying public. The album soon vanished. Apollonia continued to act (if somewhat under the radar) during the subsequent decade. The small roles on TV as well as minor film roles and exercise videos kept her active. Apollonia produced a Spanish/English bilingual album called Stay with me. She returned to the school and received a degree in making films.
